Why do we persist in generating our electricity in remote areas of the UK and then transmit it wastefully hundreds of miles to where people live?
Dalkia Bio-energy is building a number of energy efficient, biomass fired CHP energy centres in the UK to deliver the benefits of a local, carbon neutral technology. These plants, capable of generating heat and electricity for residential estates, business parks an campus communities provide a much greener and cost-effective means of delivering these essential utilities on a local basis.
Our energy centres are designed to have minimal visual impact on the local landscape – they're architecturally styled to blend in and remove the need for cross-country pylons. The energy plant technology is so developed that the emissions are minimal and many times less than from a conventional power station, saving thousands of tonnes of CO2 per annum.
Some of the spare output from these installations will be directly exported to the grid, increasing the capacity for electricity providers to provide green energy to their consumer customers.
